Employment & Digital Competency Skills that include:
Resume Composition, video calling services, job search engine utilization, document creation & storage (i.e. word, Google Docs), interviewing skills, communication skills, email communication, aptitude skills testing, and connecting participants to internship opportunities and more.
Expectations and goals:
To enrich each participant with the knowledge and understanding of how to effectively navigate the workforce. Empower each participant to effectively create their resume which highlights their abilities both personally and professionally for the workforce. Give each participant the digital skills and knowledge of how to effectively communicate and navigate the workforce.
Materials:
- Bring your own laptop if applicable
- Bring a notebook/pen or pencil to take notes to refer to after class hours
- Previous resume completed if applicable

- Smart Phone & Access to Email
- Social Security Number
Course Internship Requirements & Opportunities:
Required internship for the course shall be approved by the facilitator and communication shall be established prior to the start of the class participants internship at the respective companies and/or organizations. To receive internship credit for this course, the hours will be maintained by the respected company and/or organization the participant chooses and a signed completion of 40 hours will be provided to the facilitator from said company and/or organization for the class participant to receive a certificate of completion for this course.
